Sennheiser ie8 worth 6-7k?

Hey guys!

A friend of mine is giving a brand new Sennheiser ie8 Earphones for 7k or so. Should I go for it? Is it worth the money? I will be using it for ipod touch, samsung wave phone etc. Would I really notice the stuff I am hearing about these :P

So, should I go for it or not? I have only today to decide. :bleh:

It is too good to be true. IMO fake I guess. New ones cost around 20k in India and arnd 15k or so in USA. Even second hand ones will probably sell for like 10-15k in India. So it is really difficult to digest that they are genuine at this price.
 
Well, after you mentioned it, I looked around and saw a few of them going for $80-90 or so on ebay. Are they fake? Confused now :S
 
If officially something sells for $300 or so and you can see the same product being sold for less than half then 99.99% of the time the item is fake !

The $90, $100 deals on ebay are 100% genuine fakes.

Remember if its too good to be true it mostly isn't.
 
Err official price in India is nowhere close to 20k .Last I inquired from official distris - the lowest pricing I got was somewhere close to ~14-15k.

Just ask your friend if he has a proper US /India purchase invoice and cross check his buying price. Also ask him if he will let you check the IE8 and its box to check if its genuine .Check this link for more info.
