Okay, but will you really use the money to do something for the environment like planting more trees, increasing the number of forest staff and guards to look after the forests and endangered species? The simplest things which i could think of right now.
But feel free to tax as much as you want on cigarettes for all i care. :P #NotASmoker
Can someone explain the taxation on salaried and insurance and others?

Oh god this govt is a joke. Lakhs of crores of loans of crony capitalists being written off without even a fight and here even for poor farmers or something as simple as cleaning streets, the govt has to tax middle and lower classes. No moves to increase the tax net, no moves to increase ease of doing business. All of this cess money will go in pasting Modi's face on your tv screen instead of actual real work. When will this nightmare of a govt be over. URGH.
 
Remembering ST started @4.x% or so, after Kargil War (some people were even eager to pay ST at that time). Now, here we are.
