Set up an Official IRC Channel?

I was wondering why there isn't one already.

I stay online 24/7 and idle/chat at a variety of IRC channels and I'd love it if there was an IRC channel filled with tech savvy indians. It would take five minutes to set up.
 
old idea , was implemented , people came ....then died out 2 days later

irc sadly is dying a slow death , i just dont see any new faces other than the old hands , fb and twitter have taken over
