Hi,

I recently had problems with the alignment of my DTV antenna. Called up customer care mulitple times, but to no avail :( . Their service support is pathetic :@ .

so i tried to do it on my own with some success, but the signal strength is not going beyond 35 - 40% at the moment.

so if anybody has any hands on experience of aligning the DTV then please let me know the procedure, settings etc....

35-40% should be more than enough.

Strength of 90-100 is as good as impossible to achieve. Anything over 20-25% will do.

More strength is not gonna give you clearer picture.

even DTV doesnt claim to 100% signal strength. They say upto 70% is possible and which is true. 35 - 45 % is also good to view channels but the problem is that while tuning some of the channels/transponders are missed. and the channels that i am currently recieving sometimes go on and off the picture gets stuck.

I'm having the same problem. cc asks whether its raining in my area when its summer season :P

did it successfully once but u need to have a small tv set near the dish to align the dish so that it locks on to the dish transponder. or u can get a satellite signal meter (analog one) for about 14 dollars and use it to get best possible signal strength. :)

check this site for alignment
