Setting wallpaper in Galaxy S

I'm sorry if this ain't the right section to post my question in, but i am right now annoyed cuz i can't find a way to set image as normal as we see in gallery, gimme 2 minutes to explain you what i is talking about.
When you are in gallery & you want to set an image you took from computer or friend as wallpaper, you go to images, select an image, go to menu, go to more, set as, wallpaper & u get a squared box with 2 options, save / discard. Now i want to apply the image as it is, with no changes made, when i select that portion & save it, the image is stretched & looks ugly, is there any way to set the image the way it is?
Please help!
 
I don't think slang/Gangsta slang is allowed on forums. Try and use plain english.

As far as your problem goes.. try setting the wallpaper from the Wallpaper widget.
