Re: The Official 'Shadows of the Damned' Thread [X360] [PS3]

Even I didn't face any difficulty in the arcade levels. Just move steadily and don't rush ahead. Remember the enemy spawn points, as they will always spawn in the same places. Keep firing. If you're in closed areas, pull back and clear out the enemies first. Take out the Darkness at all costs, the moment you spot it. Also, you don't have to take out every enemy, just the ones that really get in your way. The ones who jump out of bushes and fall from the top can be evaded and ignored.

F F F F F! The last fight is a beech. :@ Took me 10 F-ing hrs of kill that the bastid, now I only have to kill that beech. The fight with the demon lord wasn't hard difficulty wise, but too damn long and full of crappy bugs. Took me nearly 1hr to kill him after trying and dying for 9hrs.
EDIT: Finished the game. Last chapter was damn hard. Overall , the game is awesome.

I see that me and gannu bhai are outta this thread, and it seems it may remain like that for a long time

Halo 3 took a backseat thanks to the old outdated visuals! Started DmD last weekend on the X360, completed until the first half of Chapter 3-1 and it has been super fun until now. Unfortunately due to the paucity of time (watched the Millenium series!) I could not progress much. The dialogue exchanges between Garcia (brilliant voice acting!) and Johnson are super hilarious. Sometimes Johnson cracks useless PJs as well.

Decent boss battles overall. All the gems I have been collecting are spent mostly on health upgrades. Darkness is a b1tch sometimes. Been playing on the medium difficulty. So-fa-so-good.

Completed the game. Felt it to be decent. Nothing spectacular. The noiresque display spoiled it for me during certain sequences. Act 4 was disappointing - dragged and lengthy minus those sidescroller missions which were quick and easy. The final boss battle (Fleming) was meh! I thought Japs could do a better job here. Voice acting for Garcia courtesy Steven Blum (the same guy who voiced Grayson Hunt in Bulletstorm) was the only lifesaver plus the dialog exchanges between him and Johnson. There were plenty of deadly PJs as well! One major annoyance was that zombie Paula chases - I really wished I could bludgeon her with something during those chases.

Clocked 10 hours and 44 minutes at conclusion. I think Lollipop Chainsaw is going to be something similar coming from Suda 51.

Done with it. Ending twist was cool.

10h10m.

After the credits :

"No demons were hurt in the making of this game."

xD

8/10 game.
