^^ every other day, I come across a hollywood movie, and i realise, OMG this hindi movie copied the idea from here..

EVery movie, Heyy Baby, Partner everything.

Oh well, even our Harris Jayaraj isn't too bad when it comes to copying the music.

Case in question: Karu karu from PKMC copied from Westlife - Hit you with the real thing.

This reminds me of the shootout scene from Lock, Stock and 2 smoking Barrels. Guy Ritchie is soo brilliant

Uh, that song is actually 'Zorba the Greek'. Composed by Mikis Theodorakis.

YouTube - Zorba The Greek
Yeah, heard the first three seconds and it took me back to lock, stock....

..which i think is a nod to godfather that pioneered opera in violent scenes.

Is this a recent phenomenon ?

Magnificent seven picked up on seven samurai. There are so many american remakes of older american movies as well as foreign ones. Are we any better or worse. Put it into perspective, and thats open to anybody that can.

Short answer sadly, worse.
on what basis do you say that ? Numbers of movies made

We produce more movies than hollywood anyway. So there's going to be more copycats for sure.

Does this necessarily mean we are worse.

Just wait till that fat cow with gold by the kilos.. Baaapi Da comes out and starts claiming it was his beat originally.
