If u regularly email or share large files to ur friends, u can use DropSend | Email large files easily and securely for uploading ur files. Just upload the file u want to share, and send the file to ur friend or urself using dropsend. This way, u can share multiple files using a single click. The space currently being offered is only 250MB though.

Now, the above description may sound a bit too odd as there are many file sharing sites like AMD Vault (25GB storage), SendSpace | The Best Free File Sharing Service and many more but the most amazing thing about "dropsend" is the upload speeds. The upload speed is blistering... and reaches nearly 100Kpbs from my office connection. If i upload the same file using other free sites or use regular email it would take ages to upload but with dropsend it is blistering fast...

I would surely test the upload speeds from my MTNL 256 kbps connection.

So, this is a must try for everyone...

Try it and share ur experiences...

U might not get the correct estimate of ur upload speeds with dropsend bcoz the upload speeds were very high atleast in my office network. I'll also test it on my 256kbps connection soon.

TRY Verzend.be also
Amazing speed + 1GB as upload limit!
I prefer sendspace.com because there is no download ticket crap associated with it.

Still it looks quite slow as compared to dropsend. I started uploading a 5MB file thru Verzend. After that i opened dropsend, logged-in, uploaded the same file thru it and it was uploaded in around 1 minute flat, while Verzend is still uploading.

File Upload stats thru dropsend: Uploaded 5.7 MB in 1.03 seconds.

Now this is some speed man!!!

The best way to send large (even huge) files or entire folders to friends is for you guys to install GigaTribe software (free, at www.gigatribe.com) Then you select the folders on your harddrive you want to share, invite your friends into your network (easy to do) and voila, you can help each other to your shared folders, easy and safe.
