first scam instance:
when I was in college, used dad's credit card for buying game online. one day i get a call from scammer pretending to be from sbi and tells you have accumulated x number of reward points, would you like to redeem them as gift cards, gullible me didn't think much and continued the conversation they ask me to enter card number and expiry on phone dial pad within 5 mins around 5000 rupees were spent on dad's card and i didn't get to know until 9/10 pm when dad calls and ask what did I buy for so much money, I say I did not buy anything today instead bank people called to confirm reward points redemption, then dad tells me this is a scam.
