Android Shared calendar app for repeating events

Is there a app that allows many users to share a calendar - one that will only contain repeating events like birthdays, anniversaries etc ? For users that are not very tech savvy - just install the app/widget and point it to the shared calendar kind of thing.

Google calendar should do... You can share the calendar with anyone. Anyone with a decent smartphone will be able to sync without problems.
