Sharing 3G network via TP-Link TL-MR3420

I want to use Seria 598U modem with this router, but it is not supported. So if i connect the modem to the laptop am i able to share the network through router? Laptop is connected with router. If it does then how to do it?

And can u guys give me a link where i can find 3g supported modem list of dd-wrt or OpenWrt wrt mr3420?

I had a similar query with Reliance NetConnect cards, so went and got the 3020 which has support, instead of the 3040.

Yea i saw it. But i can not find how many modems are supported by openwrt with this router?
I installed the Of modems and Men firmware http://www.ofmodemsandmen.com/ but the supported list of modems are much less with compared to tp-link default firmware. So i remove it. It is based on openwrt.
Actually i want a dual AP. Is it possible without openwrt?

I dont know how many modems are supported by OpenWRT. However, if it works with Linux, it should work with OpenWRT.

Secondly, dual AP - I assume you mean two WiFi networks - Yes, it is possible. I dont know if there is provision for the same in TP Link interface - one main and one gues SSID, but OpenWRT will allow you to do the same.

Ok, then i have to install the openwrt trunk version and check if it is suport the 598U or not.
For dual AP i can not find any settings where i can activate the Guest SSID.

Please check it and tell me if the Guest mode is available or not.

Guess its not there in stock TP Link firmware. In OpenWRT - you need to make another WiFi network, virtual, and bridge it.

Two WiFi networks - one main and one guest network - so that you can give a seperate password and change without needing to change for the remaining clients on main network.

Yes, you need to make an AP without bridging with WAN. This will not have net access.
