ports wont be blocked. just make sure u got live ip.

after u make sure u have live ip get. servu or bulletproof ftp or raiden ftp & create a ftp server.

all isps dont provide live ip. many ppl get a lan ip when they connect online like 10.1.0.43 or 192 or 172 etc etc.

as i said. you can use servu. its pretty easy to figure it out once u install it.

i dont think anybody blocks http or ftp ports, anyhow i too would like to recommend Servu FTP server, pretty easy to configure and has lot of kewl options.
 
Atleast name ur ISP man,

every ISP has a different set of architecture. airtel on its ADSL can always be used for FTP, nothing is blocked from elsewhere other than the CPE MODEM they install at ur end. U can use another Dlink/Netgear router in which u can configure the serrvice port forwarding easily. But u will need to track ur IP regularly as it changes everytime u re-connect.
