Not with Microsoft 365 as far as I know but you can make multiple accounts.

Why are you people suggesting so expensive options?.
just buy 2x 1tb onedrive account.

Maybe some might know this but I have transferred huge files from one account to another account.

And it has worked very well. It is just same as transferring from one part of same drive to another part in the same drive.

The transfer was almost instant.

So only little inconvenience is having two accounts and two emails linked to it.

Rest of the function is much smoother.

group owner cannot opt out (he can opt out by not using the subscription which is tagged to that MS account)
only way the others in group will lose subscription is if the Owner removes them from Sharing list.

I am little confused here, if owner wants to opt out how can he do so without impacting others sub?

what I meant is there is no such option for the owner to opt out of the Subscription, once activated it will be tagged to his MS account for a year..

He can decide not to use the MS account where Office 365 Sub is active, there wont be any impact for other users since the Sub will continue till expiry.

You can either start a new subscription by being owner or ask some other group to add you.
Your data will remain with you.
