Car & Bike Shifting bike from one city to another..help

I live in hyderabad right now. Now i have got my job in Delhi. I own a CBR250 here. I want to shift the bike to Delhi. Please tell me the best, most safe, and VFM option to get it transported there without any hassle, worries with full safety. I have heard about packers and movers, as well as by rail cargo. What they both cost? And what will be the better option?
 
Safest - ride to to delhi :D.

Next best option is the train (assuming you are getting on/off at terminating stops) , but it is best if you go with the bike so that you can supervise the loading/unloading, if you send by parcel, all bets are off.

Using surface transporters is risky, and unless the transporter is a good friend/ has some business dependent on you, I would expect at least some minor breakage.
 
how much it will cost for transportation to delhi? (rough idea)

I am planning to load it in train, then catch a flight to delhi, then get it unloaded infront of me.. :-/
 
You buy a CBR250R, arguably the best tourer in the country.
And then you are afraid to ride it.


You, sir, are a disgrace to the bike.
 
Lol, ride the bike, enjoy the scenery, finish its breakin period, and along the way you'll get to know more about your bike. People dream to do what you are asking not to do. Drive slow if you're scared.
 
I would also say ride it. I have transported bike in movers and packers and they have always damaged it in some way or the other.
 
I dont have enough time to ride it more than a thousand kms to delhi..i have changed my job so i need more time to look for residence etc in delhi first :-P
