Shipping Insurance?

WTH? That's the most ridiculous T&C I've ever heard of.
The sender should be able to send a piece of rock and claim the insured amount if it's lost in transit.
That's there TnC.....a fellow members claim was denied sometimes back on this basis but mostly it gets through also.....but his claim was higher also so maybe they checked it thoroughly or something like that.

Can anybody suggest how they insure their GPU when shipping to a far place?
And anybody who has had to use the insurance service provided by them in case of damage during transit? How was your experience?

Ask the courier company directly.....usually they don't give insurance for used products.....like in shiprocket u can do insurance for any product even used gpu but if u check there TnC in there it says that no insurance can be claimed for used electronics product even if u do insured shipping.....but sometimes it just goes through and sometimes doesn't.....a guy here on TE itself lost the gpu that was booked using shiprocket and then insurance was denied when it was found out that it was a used gpu.....but some guys have gotten the claim also

The standard practice in insurance industry is that if the product is used then its "apparent value" need to be determined first & if that is not possible or not done then its "apparent value" is considered as zero so no insurance cover.
