Hello TE,
So had bought corsair RAM internationally couple years back.
Now one of the sticks has gone dead.
Now the corsair officials have instructed to ship it to taiwan.
Now saw some reddit post showing india post as a good option to ship such items.
But after visiting today the Indian post guys told that this item is not allowed to be shipped internationally.
Showed me a prohibited items list which only had written "electronics item with inbuilt battery" . I talked with him and his senior but both didnt agreed.
Now i tried reaching out to local international couriers but they also denied to ship any kind of electronic product.
So what am i supposed to do in this case?
Can anyone suggest some recently tried workarounds to ship such items?

Do you know the importer? It is usually listed in the package. Try contacting them directly if possible.
PS : Missed the part of this being an International purchase. Still worth trying to contact the Indian Corsair RAM importer and see if they can help.

Try DHL or FedEx but if the cost of shipping is too much you may as well buy a new RAM.

Try a different post office.

Does RAM sticks have some kind of inbuilt battery ?
Nope
But apparently anything electronic is a big NO...
You have to fill customs form so there is no point of lying.
Lying on custom form? xD
Jk i dont know what happens exactly in back but importing control to india makes sense
but sending something electronics outside india is so illegal?
Its like Nvidia 4090s are manufactured in India ;_;

Most post offices require you to show the item at the window before shipping internationally, so hiding is not an option. For example, I have seen several times at my post office where the clerk made the person remove all ayurvedic medicines that are prohibited and then put one allopathic item at a time back into the pack while marking it on the prescription.

Anything that looks electronic is mostly rejected by such clerks.
