Description:

Shoot Many Robots follows P. Walter Tugnut on his mission to kill as many robots as possible after a factory begins to ominously produce killer robots. With an RV full of guns and beer, gamers will experience a four-player co-op run-n-gun side-scrolling RPG shooter filled with tons of weapon and item customization. Shoot Many Robots will also feature two game modes: Traversal, where players must progress linearly through a level, and Survival, where players fight against waves of robot hordes, delivering hours of robotic carnage and fun.

Features:

* The Story: The game stars P. Walter Tugnut, a lovable hillbilly who’s been stock-piling his RV with guns, ammo, and beer awaiting the robot apocalypse. In case you’re wondering, the “P†stands for “Pickles†– but don’t call him that.

* 4 Player Online Co-op: You and three friends can take on the robot armies together, but you’re also fighting each other in what we call “co-opetitionâ€. You need to work together to defeat the hordes of robots, but you’re also competing for the best performance, since at the end of every mission each player is awarded nuts based on how many robots they killed.

* Guns & Gear: Equipping items (like a tutu) affect Walter’s attributes, and some even give him special abilities. Using nuts dropped from dead robots, you can buy bigger guns and better gear – of which there are hundreds to unlock!

* Level Up: Killing robots gives you XP, XP makes you stronger, and the stronger you are, the more robots you can kill. It’s all one big cycle of robot murder.

Well, WTF? This game has no 360 controller support. It's supposed to be a side-scrolling shooter and it's available for consoles too. I tried the mouse + keyboard combo and it blows. So those who can adjust to this combo, knock yourselves out.

^^Definitely looks like one, the gameplay is just like Contra from what I can see in the video.

Ankur, I just buzzed Gaurav and he's in for co-op. He'll contact Sam and we can give this a test run, probably tonight or tomorrow, depending by when you can get a hold of this game. Just let me know if you're in.

looks interesting but also it seems confusing at times, looks like "Orcs must die" concept merged with "Trine" like adventurous view

collecting nuts instead of skulls lol...

The reviews are mixed but I don't mind that for the side-scroller genre. So there is no workaround for the X360 controller support? No local co-op I am assuming.

You ended Rayman right. By golly how long was that. Still wanna play after that a side scroller after that?

Rayman Origins must have taken us may be 10~12 hours. It was quite long for a side scroller I must say. More so because I had to revive my partner most of the time and we end up wasting time there.

But old skool side-scrollers are always fun no matter how lengthy they are. I love that genre from my heart.

The only way to get 360 controller support is by using Pinnacle Game Profiler. I'd advice skipping it, if you're planning to go solo on this one. Local co-op is excluded for the PC version, I think. The X360 version has it though.

Crap! Anyways will attempt this later. What is your take on this one? How lengthy was it? In case you've completed it already.
