Hi friends.
i have Bufallo 802.11b/g router whose signal doesnt catch in my whole house.

If i get 802.11n router, is it the possibility that ill get more signal strenght and the signal will be everywhere in the house? pls suggest if there is signal improvement over 802.11b/g standards to 802.11n.

Thanks.

Im my case, range is similar though the speeds are higher. Get a repeater instead as i doubt u'll be upgrading all your WiFi G products to N (which u'll have to do to get the speed or any other N benefits).

^^Just the router being N won't help any.

Edit: And dual bands are worthless for the range. 5 GHz band range is very limited as opposed to the 2.4 band. Speeds and congestion are a diff matter.

Your 802.11n-compatible computers will connect at 300Mbps, up to 500 feet away: 12 times faster and 4 times further than your old wireless G router!

Edit: The above quote is from the product description. Pure marketing gimmick. No draft N gives actual throuputs as mentioned. Actual speeds won't be much faster than what I'm getting as per tests by lotsa sites.

Are u planning to get N adapters too? If yes, then u might benefit. Might because I haven't seen any major range improvement in a "home" environment (lotsa different walls/ floors). Speeds are of course better. Average of 8~9 MBPs is what I'm getting with my N USB adapter. 3~4 for the N adapter on the EEEPC 1000H, so not all N lappies will give the 8/9 speeds.

N draft thing, i've seen it working ..its ofcourse better than all we have out here.

But you do need N wi-fi card for laps and usb or pci for PC.

like in Asus eeepc the N card is already IN and these days in Dell Laptops too.
