should I get Kodak M883 for 7k?

I am getting a good offer from a friend where I can get a new Kodak M883 for around 6.7k. I guess it is without warranty...

Is it worth it?

I have read some bad reviews around the net for the same model..

I will be using the camera just for general purpose ie outdoors and gettogethers.... also what about night shots and indoors?

should I go for it.

well i remember writing a review about that camera... i have been using that cam for a few months now...all i can say is get a Canon or Nikon as suggested above....much better cams.... Kodak is serving me fine but night photography is grainy to say the least

I've used the Nikon L18 mentioned in second post but its AF was quite weak mostly failed to focus in just a little low light situation also the pic quality left a lot to be desired.

then try canons the powershot series is pretty good. skip the 4XX models and try getting the 570IS if u can find it. 8-9k.

^^ Seconded. I have the Nikon L11 and the AF is pretty poor. Also you can't control the ISO. So night snaps are shot at ISO 800 and you can't print even one snap due to the large amount of noise.
