Should I Go for Thinkpad X220

I am planning to buy a good sturdy portable laptop which would mostly be used for number crunching and browsing. I am getting a deal on Thinkpad X220 with Core i5/4GB RAM, 320 GB 7200 RPM hdd , 9 cell battery for close to 39K from US. Should I go with this or is there any other better option in this budget. Please note that I need a light notebook with good battery backup. My budget is max 40K.

Also would I get International warranty on Thinkpad.
 
This is a amazing deal for Thinkpad. Go for it ;)

No idea abt international warranty, better check with Lenovo itself (I guess they provide limited warranty only). Also i thought of suggesting MBA (999$ for 11inch model) which will be lil out of your budget, but you will get a better config with Thinkpad.

Lenovo US is running Back to School Offer till 3rd of August where I am getting close to $143 discount. One of my friend is flying to India in August end, so he can get the same for me.
