Monitors Should i Go With LCD

Hey guys i m planning to buy an LCD 17 '' monitor from Samsung may be 740 it has 8ms , how is the monitor any review over it. Is this monitor good for gaming and movies. i hav a 3200 venice, 6100 chipset mobo MSI, 512 ram. I m happy with my current 15'' samtron monitor but time to change. I hav changed everthing except my monitor and speakers(mecury). So should i go for LCD or not.

Yep it will be good for gaming due to its quick response time. The specs seems good. You wont have a prob playing on this.
 
8ms is pretty decent for movies... r u on a strict budget you could alternatively go for viewsonic vp720b... 4ms... it'll be arnd 3.5 k more.
