CPU/Mobo Should I upgrade from Phenom II X4 955 BE

Thank you all for your suggestions.
I realize that going for I5 may end up asking for another upgrade soon. Therefore I plan to go for i7 combo.

I will try to source CPU + from US as there looks to be a substantial difference. Most likely towards end of this year.
I7-5820K - ~26,000
I7-6700K - ~ 23,400


Between above 2, which one would you recommend

You should have waited for Kaby lake as Sky lake got some issues. Nevertheless great upgrade.

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB (2x8GB) 2400MHz DDR4 -5700.

TOTAL -31,300.

The reason I suggested Z170 Motherboard is that Non-K processors can be overclocked using Bios & Guides from here:http://overclocking.guide/category/intel-oc-guides/skylake-non-k-oc/
i5 6500 can be overclocked easily to 4.5Ghz by using the BCLK method and good Water or Air Cooling.

Overclocking non K CPUs with special BIOS has it's fair share of disadvantages. You should mention that too. Although overclocking Skylake non K CPUs is possible, it comes with caveats.

Haven't come across any major issues when using the CPU.Not sure about the onboard graphics card. Also since you would be using a dedicated GPU, how does it matter ? As far as CPU performance goes, it is very very strong.
