Monitors Should I Upgrade?

Hi

I own a Dell U2312HM. Have just bought a Alienware 17 laptop. Plan to connect it to the external monitor and add a keyboard and a mouse. So in a way a mini desktop sans the CPU.

I had a quick question for you guys - do you think I should upgrade the monitor as well? Is it worth it? My budget can be ~25-30k.

From what I know Dell U2312HM is a good IPS panel monitor. Unless you want to switch to a 144hz monitor for multiplayer gaming it does not make much sense to upgrade. For a budget of 30k the only 4k Monitor which comes near is the lg27ud68p which is a really good monitor but for the dearth of 4K Content and your laptop configuration upgrading wont make much sense

Thanks. Useful input. I dont think I am considering a 4k monitor for now. Like you said theres hardly any content for that. So probably will stick with this current for at least a couple of years more.
