CPU/Mobo should i upgrade?

Hi

i just wanted to know whther i sud upgrade my rig.complete config is in my siggy.

my main use is gaming & only gaming (@ fullHD with all eyecandies enabled).

till now i'm getting bout 60 fps avg in almost all games @ above mentioned settings.

then why the HECK do u want to upgrade?? i noe some people hav loads of money...but if u do hav surplus...go donate it to some charity..

answer to original question - no need to upgrade rig till Q2 2010 at least

if your hand is itching then get a 5870 but looking at your current config and you also don't play crysis (Just my guess). You are ok for another 8-10 months or so

Nah I would recommend against it for now. Wait till mid next year at least the 6 core intel will be out nvidia's DX11 gpu's will be out things would have cleared up a bit and you can research everything and put down a lot of cash then.

i do play crysis & it gave bout 23fps avg @ fullHD.

dont wanna get a HD5870 wud prefer to get nVidia DX11 cards when they launch.

comp@ddict you have a X4 620 how does it perform in games???I want to upgrade but now i have to choose between a Phenom II 550 BE and X4 620 which is better?

MAX you should upgrade to a quad core proccy like Q9560/Q9650 or Quad extreme so that it can give better performance in multi-threaded games. However there are not enough multithreaded games to take full advantage of all available cores.

later, once the DX11 cards become main stream and there are compelling DX11 games then you can choose a 5870 or other powerful DX11 card.
