Budget 15-20K Should I wait for Xperia L/SL ?

Hi,

My LG optimus one finally died on me, and I need an android phone with a decent budget.

Questions:-
1. Budget?
A: < 20K

2. Preferred Form Factor(flip, bar, slider)?
A: Bar

3. Preferred display type?
A: AMOLED / IPS

4. Do you have any brand preference or dislike? Please name them.
A: No Micromax/LAVA/Karbon

5. Preferred input method (Touchscreen, QWERTY, etc.)?
A: Touchscreen

6. Camera required or not? If required, please specify type like front camera/flash/etc.
A: Not a desired feature

7. Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc).
A: Android JB

8. Preferred connectivity options? (3G, Wifi, Edge etc).
A: 3G.

9. What is your intended use for this phone(internet, camera, multimedia, mails, etc)?
A: Mails, Apps, Browser

10. Any other requirements?
A: Battery life should be good

11. If you have already considered a phone then please mention the model.
A: Galaxy S Advance, LG optimus L9, LG Optimus 7 S Dual II

The LG Optimus L9 seems to be the better phone amongst these, but comes at a premium of 2.5 K.

Prices that I found (flipkart):
1. LG Optimus L9: 17399
2. LG Optimus L7 Dual II: 14900
3. Galaxy S Advance: 14500

Should I wait for the release of Xperia L and Xperia SP? They were supposed to be released by end of first quarter.

I would wait for the Xperia SP, end of April launch but priced at about 24-25k

Xperia L will be 17k, and a good phone indeed. I would pick the Xperia L personally

@comp@ddict Is the SP release date confirmed? I am waiting to buy the same. Some site mentioned that the phone is expected to hit the retail stores in June.

IIRC according to 'randomuser11'(a Sony insider ) both L & SP will be here in last of April or early May

If you can increase your budget a bit you can consider the Xperia Ion (With warranty) for ~21k or so. Its a previous gen flagship and will get Jelly Bean update (Though Sony updates are often buggy)

But has a 4.55" 720p screen, Qualcomm Dual core 1.5GHz + Adreno 220, 12MP camera with 1080p recording, 16GB internal+microSD.

If on a tighter budget then the S Advance is a good choice @ 13.5k-14k.

The Xperia L at release should have a market price of 17k-18k or so. So even that comes at a premium. The SoC is the same as the Lumia 520/620/720 series phone.
