Should install windows 7 64 on this config or not?

My Pc config is as follows : -

Phenom II x4 945
Biostar TA790GXBE
2x2gb Transcend ddrII 800mhz
Corsair VX450
Seagate 1TB 7200.12
Sapphire HD 4670

Right now runnning windows xp sp2 on it, was thinking of putting in windows 7 64 bit.

My question was would my pc easily handle it?

Im a hardcore gamer so wasnt sure coz i heard not all games are compatible with windows 7 yet. Currently playing all the latest games + warcraft III dota.

Please do suggest if i should put or not.
 
I don't see any reason why it wouldn't. Go for it... your system is well equipped enough to handle Win7 x64. :)
 
So far I've not faced any issues with my games, even older ones... unless the games that you play have known issues with 64-bit systems in general.

I'm on Win7 RCx64 since almost 6 months... my config is in my sig. :)
 
Friend the Os rocks just go for it. I play many games and use many software's as well have not faced any issue until now....
 
the only issue u may have is codec support for HD movies...or to use windows media center with HD movies (mkv etc)

but that was around 2-3 months back ...latest i am not sure

This will eliminate any doubts you may have about how Windows 7 will perform on your system. I’d compliment that with a visit to the Windows 7 Compatibility Center, where you can check individual components and software titles for compatibility. All games are compatible with Windows7.

It works on the same kernel as Vista, this was done to ensure the fact that drivers need not go under a major upgrade but can do so to take advantage of the updated kernel and yeah most of all, to avoid the public from crying wolf a month into the release. ZOMG WAI DUSNT MAH SUNDCARD WURKZZZ?

Most of all, it'd be a great update from XP, I think you'd enjoy it.
 
Have already put in windows 7 and yea loving it xD. Till now played a few games and all seem to be working great.
