Forum Feedback Showing similar threads when creating new ones.

Thanks to the mods/admins for implementing me previous suggestion

Now, I have one more

when starting new threads, some forums first show similar threads to what is being crated above the WYSIWYG editor.

It helps reduce many duplicate threads. What do yoy say?

Yeah, I agree that it helps reduce duplicate threads but it also creates a lot of extra (and unnecessary) load on our servers. IMO, its better to delete the duplicate threads after they are created than hamper the whole user experience by adding such a feature.

We'll look at your suggestion though and will definitely try and implement it whenever its feasible.

how about displaying similar threads at the bottom of every thread?

^Why is it worse ? FE has that feature and its really useful. I suggested this idea before to safin for FE ( FE really needs this feature more then anything else ) but it was rejected due to some reason. Anyways it will be great if implemented here.

to show the similar threads when creating a thread , a query needs to be run only then. if its to be shown at all threads at the bottom, then there need to be a lot more queries. I think we used to have that feature before , but was removed because it slowed everything down . read the previous thread thread.
