Sify At its best??

Using Sify (1st day today) after about 1.5 years as the cable guy scrapped pacenet agency :S

1) Cant open facebook.com :ashamed:

2) Torrents are slow (max at 10kbps) :@ Frustrated :@

3) No Licenced AV software installed :@ Dammit!!!! :@ i get this notice whenever i restart and start dialer. then i have to download Trend micro AV again :@ Using compatibility mode to 98/Me :@ bloody after AV download after every restart, the CPU usage whooping 100% and used up by that AV tm6..exe i am sure that AV software using up. i then shut off by end task.. and then slow download.

4) No Problems with surfing speed

Are there any ways i can increase torrent speed , access FACEBOOK and remove that AV problem? i am frustrated... :@ :ashamed:

sify = crap from my experience . 10kbps is also good considering its sify last time i used it , it seemed i had gone back to dial up opening hotmail hahaha

i have to experience this torture for a month now.. any suggestions for AV, speed problem? i am able to open facebook.com

Yup speed over rapidshare is 216 KB/s
Speed on torrentleech is 205-211 KB/s constant!

Speed over local torrent sites 100 -170 KB/s
 
Welll... I am totally satisfied with sify... Could be just me but i am relatively happy with sify... Torrents speeds 28-32 24/7... That AV problem is user error as i use my own Anti Virus... And to be honest never tried facebook but i have never found that sify has ever blocked any website as such...

1. Dunno never happened to me... fiddle around with the mtu and see I've forgotten the exact number but I think 1452 works best with sify or something.

2.There have been cases of sify restricting torrents... use encryption

3.Just use an alternate client... their client is the most loathsome piece of crap you'll ever come across. I used to use supersify... amazing piece of software uses about 100kb... and you don't even have to have it running after you log in... provided your username has heartbeat disabled. Although you are subjected to chance... it might not work if your sify hub is using the new protocol.

4.Something... well honestly i've never had problems with it's speed the only thing that pissed me off was their down time. If they were running they'd be great. Although the latencies to game servers etc. is atrocious.
 
You can request your local cable operator to disable the AV option incase you wanna stick to the Sify dialer.
 
ive disabled that AV problem thru sify customer care.. is there any advantages if i use supersify? i dont know where to put those switches :P
 
make a shortcut to the sify dialer... go to the properties of the shortcut and then put the switches in the target according to the following eg.:

drive:\folder\supersify.exe -u username -p password and then i think ull need the overide switch -o
