I had taken the Sify Anytime 256 kbps Family plan....Which has unlimited download at night (10PM-8AM) and a download/upload limit of 150 MB/day...I was happy with the plan and it was giving me the full 32 KBps download speed for two whole weeks....but then one day when I logged-in, i see that my validity has been decreased by 16 days!!
I quickly checked my session details and found that there was a data transfer of 418 MB on a day from 8:06 AM to 8:35 AM....
I use utorrent for downloads and I use the inbuilt scheduler which automatically shuts down all data transfer at 8:00 AM every morning....So I am pretty sure that I haven't downloaded the 418MB file...
Also even if I get full DL speed the maximum download possible in 29 minutes is around 60MB...So 418 MB of transfer is just not possible....I think somehow the downloading that I do at night got registered in time slot of 29 minutes...I don't know how but tat what seems to have happened.
Then what followed were franctic calls and e-mails to CUSTOMER CARE....
All i get from the other end is a guy/gal saying that our Technical Team will get in touch with you asap...
As of now it has been three days and not a single member from the so-called TECHNICAL TEAM has contacted me so far....
I don't they even have a TECHNICAL TEAM....My account will expire in two days...If they do something withing that time, its OK, otherwise I am gonna switch my ISP....
Anyone faced a similar problem like this....? Any chances of getting my lost days back ??
PS: All those who are looking for a Broadband connection, if u are thinking of taking a SIFY connection think again...The service is good but if there is a problem u are screwed....I don't beleive i am saying this but i actually think MTNL CCare is better than SIFY CC....
