Sify Woes :(

hey ppl,

i recently downloaded the latest version of Sify Client(3.2 i think) and since then the client aint loading on double clicking.the BBImpSec.exe process also aint there in the processes tab.Wat was gone wrong?????

.have u installed the client properly..? also many a times the downloaded file is corrupted it has hpnd with me..so
try downloading again..and re-installing..
also ..check u r LAN settings..and see if they match with all the info given on the sify NETWORK INFO CARD (the sticker )...
lastly..after doing this..just ping to u r local gateway and see if the LAN is working
just open run frm start menu and type :
ping "your gateway address" -t
witht the quotes(") ....for eg- ping 10.40.174.1 -t
then see if u are getting a reply..
after doing all this diagnosis start u r sify client and wait for some time..it should start automatically or if it dsnt it will start troubleshooting (troubleshoot.exe)..and tel u the problem ...also see if its giving u some error # ..:D
 
the 'pls wait client loading screen' comes..and immediately goes away.lan is working fine.i am receiving replies from my local gateway.lan is fine.can u somehow give me the setup of the client ?

Edit:-troubleshooting says everything is fine ...:huh:
 
Dude I think you must be using Zone Alarm pro or any other firewall and it must must be blocking Sify client from accessing the net....That must be the culprit blocking BBimpsec also.......

Try starting the client without the firewall running....

i felt the same too..and disabled the firewall but still it didnt work.and btw i tried installing the client given to me here but still the problem persists :( :(
 
where do u live ?? do one thing..call sify customer care...and tell them about u r problem..a technician will come to attend u r problem within 12 working hrs...their customer care service is somewhat good...dont call the local.cable operator who provides u with the connection....
 
i dont think..theres any other sollution.. u have done all tht u could do..all troubleshooting ..done ..its better u put the sify ppl to some damn..hardwork now..call them...and just tell them...to come as soon as possible..and dont forget to note down u r complain no. from customer care ....
