Does anyone know how Simmtronics RAM is? I'm planning to buy something for my laptop, so was looking around. Online feedback about Simmtronics veers towards the negative, but most of this looks pretty dated... has anyone bought/used Simmtronics RAM recently? Last few months or so?? Any opinions?

TIA..

Okay if not overclocking. In fact most generic RAMs are good to go on budget mobos.

Btw, I mostly prefer reputable brands like Transcend, Corsair etc. No worries of any incompatibilities/ warranty/ performance.

2 year old IBM (not Lenovo! It's that old!) R52, and no overclocking happening :D still runs super though, so thinking of beefing it up with a larger hdd and more ram.. wanna squeeze at least a year more out of it..

I'd recommend against it. crappy stuff, dies out in 1~2 years, has lifetime replacement warranty, but i dont think RMA ing them every 6 months is feasible .My dealer stopped selling simmtronics because of the complaints. bettter buy the better brands mentioned by naga :)

my simmtronics ram went kaput a few months ago, and i d recommend against it.

As greenie said, u cannot really keep going in for the RMA every few months.

And yea, lifetime warranty is just 3 years.. the product's lifetime.. not urs :)

p.s: does anyone know why my Posting Rules say "You may not edit your posts"? Shuld have a certain threshold level of posts before it becomes possible to do this? The FAQ doesn't seem to shed any light..
