Sirf Star III - USB GPS Device.

I am thinking to get this from Amazon.
Amazon.com: GlobalSat BU-353 WaterProof USB GPS Receiver (SiRF Star III): Electronics
Will this work in INDIA with mapmyindia, satnav or any other maps ?
Does mapmyindia and satnav has windows XP based map software ? I dont see anywhere on their site. only PDA and Phones.
