something about BSNL
Well I am a JTO Joined this company in their first Direct Recruitment ie 2001. Let me tell you some facts.

--> The work culture of BSNL is not at all improved from that of DOT period even after 5 years of its birth.
--> There is no concrete HR Policy in BSNL till this date.
--> The promotional aspect of a Junior Engineer Joining this company is still unknown.
--> The Job Satisfaction in this company is a dream.
--> Around 80% of the staff in BSNL are sleeping always, but prompt for any agitation relating to their salary or benefits.
--> The top management of this company has no concern over its growth. They still are not opted to JOIN this company. They are SERVING this company on deputation from DOT.
--> There are a number of associations and unions of promotees (old DOT staff), who are manupulating every nook and corner of BSNL administrative offices.
--> The staff motivation in this company is a BIG ZERO.
--> The JTOs joined in 2001 has not get their confirmation yet.
--> Around 50% of JTOs posted in other circles in their first posting are not yet transferred to their native circle.

I mean Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.

I got info that there is a discussion going on about my site ( Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited - BSNL - delays new telephone connection without any valid reason ) in their discussion board, but do not know what it is. Just curious

Anybody has login info for that, please post the details here, I mean what they discuss about the site

The only way to teach bad ISP's a lesson is by supporting the good ISP's.

Like Airtel for example. They were the first I think to roll out 256 kbps unlm and the rest follow a year ago, and I can stand up for them for the best Customer Service, ever.

O man.... reading about u is making me loose all my hope of ever getting a connection, I applied on the 4th of last month thats 4th Jan 2007, and i'm still to receive a bb connection, last I sent a guy I was told that they are out of maal, I'm guessing they're referring to adsl modems, and as soon as it comes i'm gonna get it, well nothing as of yet. I had actually quit using sify but had to renew a package again after waiting for a like a week, and now i'm stuck with it, no airtel in my area as well.

have passed since I applied for the telephone connection!

I am still waiting for the broadband connection

I sent an email to the Union Minister for Communication & Information Technology with the site link etc. Never expected any reply but received a reply today !!! I am impressed ! Atleast he sent a reply

The reply says - the matter is forwarded to the concerned officer for necessary action. Not much details in the reply but I hope they will do something
