Slow Airtel Broadband Speed

Plan : 384Kbps Unlimited

From past few days, the connectivity speed is slow. I get only 250 to 300 kbps. I have complained regarding this many time. But the problem continues. The service person tells that, it is the maximum that I could get. Now iam really very very dissatisfied with the service. Speed is getting worst never getting better. Previously i was getting speed of 384-398 kbps. Even when i was in 256Kbps Unlimited plan i was getting better speed than this.

Help me out guys. I am really fed up with repeated complaining. I dono what to do next.
 
take a strong action.
visit the office and then complain .
but mate i must tell u that i have a bsnl 500c plan which offers 2mbps spped .
but really i get this speed when i download .while browsing i get 1.8-1.9 mbps ,sometimes even .5-.9mbps ,having complained again and again ,no profit was made ,so have a bit patience ,maybe some or the other day the speed's gonna come back:)
 
what is FUP??? I am in 384 kbps unlimited 4 past few months ... i used to get 45-50 kBps... but things dont continue to be same way...

FUP does not apply only on 64kbps unlimited plans.

Yea might be ur speeds got reduced coz of the FUP

On a side note, i was getting speeds of 2 mbps for 3 hours in the afternoon on Airtel 384 kbps plan. Downloaded like 1.2 gb in that time! :D
 
but i dont download much.... i rarely download movies... is there any way 2 check the bandwidth usage from airtel???
 
I think u can check on the website, u have to register ur account there first. Simpler would be just get a download monitor for ur pc

somewhere in may i got 3.8 mbps the whole day ,downloaded -12gb:cool2:
 
Hi, Im using BSNL Home 750/- unlimited plan. I guess its 256kbps but I only get speeds of 20-25kbps while downloading.
It was only Yesterday in ~6months that I could see speeds of 500-700kbps for ~2hrs.

Is there something wrong with my connection, should I be getting far higher speeds?
 
I have the MTNL 256kbps unlimited plan and my max download speed is 27kbps...

is it ok or something's wrong??
 
Me too on Airtel 512 UL plan 2 months back i got pathetic speed .Complained airtel guys told me i am being punished for downloading too much:hap2:.
Disconnecting Airtel this month Going for BSNL:cool2:.

LOL I had something different.

I now have an AIRTEL 256KBPS UL plan and I get constant download speeds of 32KB/s and upload speed of 30-32KB/s constant. Infact with torrents, I get 30KB/s download and about 30KB/s upload SIMULTANEOUSLY.
