Slow DL speed on Airtel BB ????

Then enable the ping command to acess the net from your firewall, then it should ping behind your firewall as well...... But whay do you want to change the MODEM.... if its pinging... or is it random pings....

Anyway if you really want to burn this MODEM without geting into any trouble then connect the modem to a dc voltage over the rated volts (~4.5v).. it will surely burn something inside without leaving anything on top....:hap5: :hap5:
 
Here's the deal - I want to play fifa 07 with others via hamachi. I can ping most people bar a few. But i cant connect to them in FIFA ...
 
^so how did u hold the modem as culprit..?? .. i dont think so , try getting your frnds modem to your place & test it if u arnt very sure...

if u really want to change the modem ... just tell him the modem disconnects randomly after ~5-7 hrs usage or so.... . . .
 
I think your firewall is blocking you.... Your MODEM seems to work fine.... anyway try another MODEM if it works then you should change your MODEM....

Otherwise give access to FIFA making firewall rules for it....

By the way is your FIFA legal or a pirated copy.....

Same with me dude!! :@ :@ Enough of these f**kin' excuses by Airtel..If they don't set it right by this weekend, I'm planning to go the MTNL way!!

Btw..I'm assuming u meant the UL 999 256kbps plan...Right? Or is there a plan that we don't know about? :P
 
Sorry typo..its the UL 999 256 plan.

I talked to airtel CC, they assured me that its going to be resolved today by 12AM midnight, i.e. it should be resolved by now. So i'll wait for one more day, or else I going to blast the CC.:@ :@
 
my connection is acting up too! getting pathetic d/l speeds the last two days (<24k all the time) :@ if it happens for one more day, im lodging a complaint.

ps : anyone using airtel in chennai facing the same problem??

Get in touch with EA Sports customer care & tell them the problem.... They will definately help you out if there is no problem with your MODEM, lest your game is pirated....:bleh: :bleh: :bleh:
 
The airtel guy came in the morning, checked everything, replaced the cable coming from the splitter and suggested that speed looks fine.

They always try to download stuff from download.com which shows a speed of around 22-23kbps, and they say that the speed is fine.:S :S
 
yeah. Since the past 6 motnhs, I've been only getting an avg of 22kBps.

But I never bothered to complain for those 4-5 missing KBps since I was satisfied by their night double boost (which always went upto 55kBps).
 
airtel pings to SG routes are fixed...

time to get some frags////:D :D :hap2:
