Slow download speed

Hi everyone,

I am getting slow download speed on my desktop pc while normal on my laptop.
What could be the possible reason?.

I use following software on my desktop,

Windows Xp sp2,
Comodo firewall,
AVG antivirus.

Earlier reply in this matter will be really appreciated.
