slow speedtest speeds with servers outside india on BSNL UL750

I have been experiencing problems with dl speed on BSNL 750UL plan since the past couple of days. Initially I thought that it was a problem with my modem/phone line(as I live in a relatively remote area) but there was no change even using a different modem. However, the speedtest results give 0.5/0.3mbps for ul/dl for the mumbai server(which is normal) but for ones outside India the speeds are ~1/10th of that. I'm also getting download speeds from torrents/http/file sharing sites avg ~5kbps only.

Anyone else facing the same?

yes
even im on the same plan,and im getting an average of 24KBps on torrents(most,like movies,games etc).however,anime gives me 60KBps.strange.
and sites open very slowly,ive to reload multiple times

you are using BSNL from Kerala right?

even i was going to ask the same question...........:D

even i face similar situation..... although i use hotfile for my downloads and get 50-60KBps average.........but sites do take a long time for loading....... so many times the site gets hanged and images do not get loaded only....... :@

I meant servers outside India; didn't my post make that clear enough? :P Anyway I'm glad this is a common problem in which case it should be resolved soon enough.
