Guys I have been having this irritating prob with 2 of my boards 875 and 925... the sata connectors (small data ones) are loose now after swapping many HDD's and sometimes if the cabby is moved or something get loose or may come off...this is irritating to find no boot and then opening the cabby for adjusting. Can i use some cellotape etc??? any other solution?

c'mon guys???

I too have seen this problem as I swap HDDs often. What I found was the the cable was the problem and not the mother boards connector so I just got a few extra cables and used a new one and the problem got solved for a while anyway.

I would not use any tape on these places as most tapes bleed and leave sticky GOO behind - instead try insert a small piece of paper between the cable and the socket on the side which does not have the contact pins and see if that works.

i think the pin maybe a little displaced from the position try to bring them a little closer with a forcep and your done it wont be that loose..
