small laptop needed, with good batt life!

Ok I am using a R50e now which is kindaa big and heavy , but a joy to use!

so

1) I need somethin small.

2)I need atleast 256 ram (512 preferable)

3)also I want it arnd 50k.. not costly then that, or maybe + 5k if too good.

4) i wanna play raven shield, UG1 and warcraft on it and surf net and do all usual mobile stuff.......

5) Wi-fi not needed. No infrared an bluetooth reqd, but a lot of usb power.

6) need good batt life

7) Preferably IBM ( Is lenevo same as IBM??) or any other good brand??

8)How much will I get fr my 1 yr old R50e??

9) If it is cheaper in US, then by how much??

10) bfore I forget, i need that small thing "trackball" or whatever, since i got so used to it on my old lappy.

10) Noob question> suppose I ask my uncle to get it frm US, then is he allowed to carry it? willl he be charged custom duties?? I mean he is sure to be carryin his own laptop.........so I don't think 2 lappys willl be allowed....

Ask around for those 12.1" widescreen laptops from IBM (Lenovo), ASUS, Compaq/HP or Acer. Should be available in your budget of 50k. It will be cheaper in the U.S and you should get the same laptop for abt $1000 there.

Since the laptops will have a smaller screen and centrino processor, it will have a good battery life.

If you want real portability, go for those 10.6" screens. Saw one available on newegg for $1050

Hey wait, you say small "trackball" thing, but you talk about IBM... are you sure you aren't talking about a "trackpoint"? It looks like a pencil eraser (the one attached to the back of some pencil).
 
Well then, you are probably going to be limited to IBM. Few others use it, but I have seem some Compaq models with it as well.
