What is smallest 4k monitor currently available in the market preferably 27 inch or smaller?

All the ones that i came across where North of 30 inches on online marketplace.

I am using a FHD laptop with 144hz, as a second screen i want something of higher resolution but a medium inexpensive screen for content consumption with accurate colors. Response times are not that important.

27 inch

Is the 27 inch the smallest we can go?
I have limited desk space, 27inches too consumes a lot of room on my table.

Which maybe doable but I will have to put things at weird angle to accommodate everything.

I was able to find this LG one on Amazon

The next smallest one from LG i believe was 24 inch but it was QHD.

First - decide distance between you and monitor.
Second - Decide use case i.e what are you going to do on monitor gaming/ productivity/ media consumption.
Third - Budget.
Then only you can shortlist as per your usage. Your monitor size and resolution will largely be based upon 1 and 2.

Don't just look for size and resolution. Check for PPi, DCI-P3 (color gamut) / SRGB % , refresh rate, number and types of inputs, brightness (typ), panel type (VA/IPS/Nano IPS, etc)

If your computer desk/table can accommodate then you can get screw clamp/ gormet type monitor arm/stand for easier placement and movement of monitor.

I haven't yet seen any 24inch 4k monitors, i don't know whether they exist.

On 24inch 4k and even on 27inch 4k my guess is texts will look too small, and will have to decrease resolution.

General rule of thumb is 24" - 1080p, 27" - 1440p, 32" - 2160p. - for optimum text sizing.

Let other FMs share their experience and opinions.

About 70cm of distance with media consumption being priority, and sub 25K Budget.
I am happy with 100% SRGB, 90% DCI-P3 and 80PPD.

For PPI, I am referring to this sheet by Techless:

With those things in mind, I tried to go with a screen smaller than 27 inches to meet the PPD target.

This also seems to be a good option.

Do you think something like this will be enough for a 27-inch screen for a wall that may not be that strong(if you drill hard enough, you can go from one side of the wall to the other side)?

Its specs say - supports upto 32"

ARTIKEL Single Monitor Desk Mount | VESA Mount with C Clamp & Grommet Mounting Base | Computer Monitor Stand for Screen up to 32 inch | Table Mounted |

This Monitor mount is for - DESK/TABLE. Wall mount are different. I guess you have 4" thick wall, if wall is of Red Bricks with good mix of cement and sand, it can easily take up load of monitor, if wall is made of AAC blocks then thats entirely different scenario.

For 70cm distance you can go upto 27". If i were you, for this distance i'll go for 27" 2k 144hz and above refresh rate monitor.
But here is a twist - most of media(movies, series ott, etc) is either 1080p or 4k i.e 2160p, no 1440p/2k. Games do support 1440p.
If you can go to any store and demo different size and resolution monitors, that will give you an idea, if possible do that.

Forgot to mention - Check that monitor supports VESA mounting before buying - required for using monitor stands/mounts. Also, Refresh rate above 120/144hz to be preferred.

24 inch 4k monitors do exist but they are so rare that they aren't competitively priced. The one model I can find is LG 24UD58-B available from Mehta Brothers.
Only get it if you really need it because in my opinion 24 inches monitors especially with 4k resolution is a waste these days. 27inches is the sweet spot considering the viewing distance. Also not to mention the specs on that monitor is horrible. 72% NTSC is average at best for IPS panels and peak brightness is 250 nits which is very low as most monitors come with 300 nits at the very least these days.

Oh, that's a rare find, thank you!
Just checked the LG website for the same model.
You are right the specs are all over the place.
