CPU/Mobo SMPS rating for XFX 650i Ultra

My xfx 650i ultra stopped displaying anything with palit 7300 GT card and I returned the mobo to Rashi. They have told me that I need atleast 450 watt smps to use with board. I am having CM 380 watt. Can anybody throw more light on that?

doubt that statement....AFAIK no mobo has such power requirements!!!! :no: Tried a different card?

A regular desktop Mobo by itself may consume 30-40 Watts.

i seriously doubt that. i have a c2d with MSI 965 board and Nvidia 6800 running on iball 400W without any issues. check this link.
