Lol I stopped visiting Gizmodo for their "not so honest" reviews of Nokia smartphones. I saw a similar trend in engadget too. I soon realised that it's the problem with USoA. Those poor chaps are enslaved by their carriers and can only buy a select few phones from their manufacturers. Now Nokia is not favoured by any of the carriers (read = subsidised) So naturally they don't like it.
We however pay full price for everyphone and "own" our carriers and not the other way round. Also Nokia's focus on the Asian market means NA has poor idea about Nokia to begin with. Their best competition was the Motorola which err...lets not get there. Until the iPhone revolution their offerings were far inferior to Nokia counterparts.
To summarise, Don't look for "Nokia" reviews from an American website. They might as well have a T-Mobile sidekick rather than the N95 back in the days of yore. Their reviews are skewed especially for anything that does not read iPhone. It's a pity considering the quality of literature that comes from them, not to mention the popularity.
