I was speakin to my frnd yesterday itself ..

India has been doin it so consistently ..

choking out on the last day ..

Who do u think ws the culprit ..??

( i forgot to add in the poll .. the attitude of the think tank .. i.e to go out on a defensive mood.. they shd hv tried to chase the target like an ODI .. they wd hv got some ODI approach practice..

DO key in ur own reasons as well .. )
 
it looked like they wanted to loose lol - i cant help but notice the difference in altitudes of South Africans and our guys

You cant win every damn match.

And what do you mean by saying they lose on the last day?? You think it will be better if they lost on the 3rd day itself??

the match was actually lost on the 3rd day when we could not score properly and allowed the England team to take a 100+ run lead.

If you lose a test match, more often that not it will be on the last day(unless you played pathetically).

This is the problem with the Indian public. One loss and they start crying like there is no tomorrow.

Where were you all when India won the previous test match?? And that was a match where people told even after 2 days of play that it would be a draw. This was a titghtly fought match. and they lost. BIG DEAL. It is a game people!!!! Learn that. One team loses and one team wins.

Its not about the loss but the way they lost it. 100 all out is tightly fought wth

wot break u r talkin abt ..?? they aint playin flawless cricket offlate..

there hav been areas which anyone can point at..

hw many times have we been able to score a complete whitewash ?? we been always the receivin party..

If shane warne cd have been smashed out by even the 7 dwn batsman .. hw in the world a guy like Monty panesar was allowed to go away ..? (no harm intended.. bt he aint that classy ..)

And remember wot happened on the last day of the 3rd test match against pak ..??

We had fought hard in the prev 2 matches and made their home advantage next to nothing .. only if we had attacked a lil .. we wd hv atleast not lost the match ..

Wen the pakis wer in India .. they held their fort at mohali .. and denied us a victory ..

Hw often hv u heard "India Has the most Formidable line up in the world.."

well i say .. My foot ..!

We keep sittin on these laurels showered upon us and always end up playin the old lethargic game ..

a small change in attitude is what is standing between the team and success..

I dnt kno hw many decades of stupid and silly losses it wil take to realise it ..??

yes you cant win matches always,

but you always can fight and try hard to win matches and then only you can make habit of winning matches.

i try to recall how many matches india has lost trying to defend and playing out for a draw, had we changed our mindset and attacked those opposition we could have won some of them.

lemme make some list,
collapse at mohali against west indies,
recent loss against pak in chennai and back there.
loss against ausises down under at melbourne after win at adelaide,
loss against england back in england (if i recall correctly 2001)

and so on counting......

i think we need to change out way of thinking and try to win not try to defend.

anyways it was back to the basics typical spineless indian cricket performance. good that i was busy whole day and did not see the collapse.

what abt the other cricket playing nations.... Sri Lanka, SA, NZ, WI, Pakistan.... They dont have such bad patches or what?? They play at the top of their game forever??

Cummon guys..... Every teamgoes through bad patches. We are not going through a bad patch as such. so we played bad in one test and lost. So what?

We did win the ODIs. We are now playing OK. Of course no where near the peak (remember just after the WC??). And we did win comprehensively against SL.

Think abt all the wins also. And if you want to criticise so much, why the hell dont you play yourself?? You think you can do a better job?? Then why are you wasting time posting here?? go out there and Bharat ka naam badhao
 
Failure of the Batsman! Each and every batsman in the Indian team deserves a big round kick on their *you know wat* :P
pathetic display of extraordinary skills. talk abt being the most talented batting line up in the world :rofl:
 
If i'm not mistaken, its the same pitch where we bundeled out Australia for 93 in previous year in 4th innings to win the match where the winning target target was some 130 odd runs,
I think, winning the toss and electing to field was the biggest mistake India made :@
 
Yea i agree there that u cant win every match. But u can at least try to win and not play like dravid did, 9 runs of 57 balls. If u play so defensive ur bound to get out. And the number of dropped catches!! U cant blame the bowlers, they literally had to take 20 wickets per england innings, and the batsmen who dropped those cathes didnt make up for them either. But by far the worst decision was bowling first. What did dravid hope to achieve by doing this.
 
Its not a good comparison when you say that other teams also go through bad patches.

1. Other teams also go through good patches. We went through a good patch just once, around the 2k3 world cup. Other than that.... never. No, the 83 WC doesn't count.

2. Other team cricketers don't get paid obscene amounts and endorse every damned product under the sun, forcing us to look at their ugly mugs on TV all day.

bt i am not referrin to one man .. the whole team was like a dud..

Krool did matched my thinkin pattern ..

we all hv batsman who earn in crores... they simply wd perform in 2 matches out of 7 maybe to keep their purse bloated ...

India has been short of feeling of going for the kill or the fight back ..

The natwest trophy which kaif and Yuvi won for us is wat u call test of character.. bt now it seems the old timers hv rubbed the effect on them too ..

i am amazed u take the side of all the cricketers.. jst look up the test record in recent years.. u ll kno y its hurting me ..

we managed to win the overseas series against Zimbabwe in recent times .. and u askin for a break for the team ...

.. DUDE.. wake up .. holi is gone ..

the winnin streak is a rare sight .. its only recently that we been winning the odi too .. else we had some 8-10 finals lost..

u probably are in an awe that we recently beat SL and Pakis blak and Blue.. that was a happy sight for me too .. bt all these are one dimensional victories..

One word to summarize.. Not the correct attitude in our team ..

and believe me .. the day the commercials for them are banned and packets alloted according to the team performance.. then these lazy idiots will learn ..
