So guys what do you guys think of the new M&M XUV 500.
at 10.8Lacs for the base model I think this SUV is the most VFM car around...
 
you will be left thinking for a while now. :P

bookings for it have been closed for all variants due to a whopping response. about 10k bookings within a week.

the last of the bookings have a proposed delivery dates of march end.

I can get it even if bookings are closed don't worry about that...

I just wanted to know others thoughts here not mine....

there is no competition @ the given price point so if you want it better get it now since the first batch has a 3 years unlimited km warranty.

or maybe wait for the tata merlin launch or the renault duster.
 
....its either this or the 320d. :p (I know there is no comparison between the two.)

This just because its such a VFM...but I am yet to see one on the road.
 
You wont see it on the roads since it has been launched it only in metros and the higher demand is straining them to delay their launch in other parts of the country.
If you can manage to get it no doubt it will be the most vfm proposition.
 
I saw 2/3 on the road in the last few days and I have to say it looks very nice...dont know much about the interior quality and engines and stuff though
 
Yeah mav, the reviews I have been very good so far only draw back being the interiors Quality thats all...140bhp, 2.2 mHawk Diesel engine. Someone claims that it reaches 190Kmph....Seems very interesting, just I dont know what to do I need a new car and has to be one that will take me the next 5 years minimum....M waiting for the TeamBhp review and or TD.
 
Err.. Best M&M car ever but the design is a bit messy. The nose of the car with the fussy detail on the air-intake looks too busy IMO. Should be a lot cleaner.

Also the rear of the car is kinda disproportionate and breaks the design flow especially the hump near the C pillar. Moreover the upright tail lamp cluster along with the relatively staid rear hatch breaks the profile.

The interior design of the ac vents is yuck!! and the color choice of maroon highlights with chrome looks too garish for me.

But still VFM it is! :)

I think its better to wait for a bit for it....maybe they will offer some more interiors besides the maroon...I somehow didn't like the interiors as well, they are OK at best, the front is fine but what have they done to the front bumper...cats whiskers it seems I dont like those cuts...needless...you got the right words: "looks too busy"

I think its better to hold on till Jan or something instead of Diwali for it....
 
I'm yet to see one of these on the roads, but i thought it's fugly when i saw the pic for the first time. Felt like they are trying too hard to pull off something.

My opinion might change if i see one in person but it sure does offer stuff that even the Fortuner does'nt and that too at its current price point so definitely a vfm ride.
 
^^ and also in black it don't look too bad. maybe it hides the unnecessary honey combs....

Just think about double the features of the Fortuner for half the price!!!
 
The car is just trying to be way to aggressive... It will look brilliant in vibrant colors and not the standard white and silver... I cannot say anything about the black cause haven't seen it yet... Whats with the interiors... Those colors are really bad(my personal opinion) otherwise depending of features it is really good
 
There's a new Mahindra showroom opened in my area and i can see only XUV500 there

by looks it is very good but the rear seats are way too uncomfortable - very less space :(

Renault Duster? Isn't that the Dacia Duster, the Dacia Sandero's elder off roading brother?
Good news!!!!!!!!!!!! The Dacia Duster IS finally coming to India. (James May would be so happy!)
 
its good car but 3rd is worst only for 5years or less kid . Plastic quality is not that great but for money they offered its good . Overall if you need city + some highway car then this best option . i found 2nd row bit bumpy hmmm need another TD to confirm again :P
 
Its a bit over done frankly.

Plastics and other materials are not up to the mark.

The exterior is good but the front bumper is an eyesore.

No bad but not good either. I'm guessing people who were happy with the Scorpio/Safari will be happy with this too.

Its more like going a Hyundai way, crap car, fill it with features and sell. Most people buy it because of the attraction to the features.

(eg. Buy ANHV, and run it at high speeds, the car will make sure you have a near death experience)

Its not for me though. I'm more of a sedan guy unless I am getting an x1 or x6 :P
