Software for seeing which files are using internet

Is there any software which can give the list of files which are using internet for uploading or downloading ?

I remember having installed such a software a few years ago.

I do not want a firewall as I already have the Complete internet security version of Avira which includes a firewall

Thanks for advising

i think you can check it simply with a command...

open command prompt
type "netstat"
hit enter

You will see the list of programs/services using internet.. :) There are lots of options that you can use with netstat tooo... just google it :)

or there is a software called, netlimiter, iirc.. It's really good.. Shows which files are accessing internet with their speeds and also allows us to bandlimit them..

any firewall will suffice that purpose, choose the detailed view and it will list the program as well as services accessing the internet

Will the free version suffice my needs ?
s it easy to uninstall the same in case I don't like it ?
(I am asking because I could not uninstall Comodo no matter what I tried & I had to ultimately format my HDD)

the free version will expire after some time.. and afair it didn't give any problems, instead i missed it once its free period got over..

so, just go on and install it, you'd surely be wanting the paid version after sometime..

I am using Networx for a long time now. its free and allows you to monitor bandwidth, "Netstat" of which processes are using connections/ports and are connected to which remote host.

You could use the Resource Monitor which shows all the programs on the network. If you are using W7, type "resmon" with out the quotes. Please not you will need admin access.
