software to automate keystroke commands

Few yrs ago I tested a software which use to record the keystrokes & then save a macro which can be played by a assigning a key. I got the software on Digit CDs

I have completely forgotten the name can anyone help me finding such programs which can do so?

Lets say while using a software I need to press various keys, that software use to record it & then I would press assigned key & move out for a while & it use to do all the job.

Thanks its works perfectly fine though the one i used was also a freeware which allowed to assign a key.

Windows macro recorder I have to press the play button once only then it will run.

Any more choices which does the same?

I’ve used this software many times over the years to literally save myself days worth of time.
