Software to digitize printed Photos.

I started scanning old printed photos and found the process very tedious.

At a time I am scanning only 1 photo. Have to crop it and if I placed it a bit tilted I have to rotate the scanned image to correct it or set it properly and scan it again.

Is there a software that can automatically detect multiple images (3 or 4) and orient them correctly and save them as separate files?

I am using a HP Deskjet 1050 for the purpose.
 
Well most scanners have their own applications which they provide along with the scanner and which does such a job easily. HP I believe gives a complete suite along with each product which has such features. You could download it by even going to the HP Site (just incase you have not received it). Other than that, there are many paid software products available and you can get details by searching the net, but I have found that most scanners come with good softwares which do a relatively good job.
