I own a six month old Sony Vaio E series VPCEH25EN laptop. It's battery gives a good backup of over 2 hours.
Now I want to know how to monitor the health of the battery and how to maximize the life of the battery.
I did installed a software called batterybar which shows the percentage of battery wear and my battery status is as - 6.6% weared of 45,000 mWh. This was 4 % last month but now it is 6.6% within one month.
Many people advise me to switch off the charger after the battery charge light goes off but I guess battery should itself stop charging after completion of charge?
Please give some tips for maximising it's life.
Also is there any way by which i can set a cut off point by which the battery stops charging after reaching certain percentage like 99.5% by using any software?
