Software to send files on Lan !!

is there any way to send small files to other laptops without internet . all laptops will be in same room n have wifi .need to know some way to send files ,, also if there is any chat application for similar use plz inform .

Umm, install wamp in both the PCs and share files.
You can share in the in OS though. Easiest way.
