Hi all,
Recently I've just started torrenting & through my travels in the .torrent world I began looking at the various IP's & the countries they're in. This is a very small compilation of flags of the different countries I've encountered to date :-

Another one of the Indian IP's, notice that much of touchtel is being routed through the US

apart from the flags. i didnt understand a shit...

is it the isp's routing data through those located in us and other countries, like you said..

so what do i do with it??
 
chic AFA the international IP's are concerned, these were some countries from whom/to whom I was downloading to/from. It's there for enjoying those various flags.

AFA the Indian IP's are concerned, it just shows that touchtel a.k.a Airtel seems to have a server/proxy or somehow routing through the US while also have heard that they've a partnership with Singtel. The botttomline being if they've a good routing solution through US then the latencies should be less on Airtel. Although only somebody who's on Airtel would be able to vouch for that. Anybody on Airtel here ?
 
@kau_therock this is the window u use a bittorrent client, in my case utorrent & check the resolve the isp flag. You get details of the country from where that IP is alongwith port & all. As I find it fascinating to see this play happening I decided to share it. Of course the count of flags from different countries hopefully increases over time.
